Book now love won’t wait…
Beat the winter blues
Now Christmas has been and gone and the thoughts of eating turkey that’s been sat on the side for the best part of a week are in the past, surely now is the time to:
a) get the bike out and b) think about escaping the cold winter wind and rain.
Why not combine the 2 and book yourself a trip to Hotel Sis Pins in Majorca where you can enjoy the warm sunny winter months and ride some of the most famous cycling roads in the world, Team Movistar rider Alex Dowsett didn’t spend Christmas and New Year here with us eating Turkey, drinking and being merry (although he was most delightful) – most certainly not! He was here to train for his Perfect Hour record attempt in February and there’s no better place to stay than the Hotel Sis Pins in Port Pollensa. After a hearty breakfast consisting of fresh Majorcan fruit and Porridge Alex was setup for the many hours of training ahead of him each day.
Whether you want a break on your own, with family or friends we cater for all your needs. We even have the occasional cycling team come and stay. With secure bike storage, once you’ve finished your ride you can lock up your bike, kick off the cycling shoes, put up your feet and relax to the sounds of the Mediterranean.
So what are you waiting for? If that isn’t enough to entice you, we are offering everyone 10% off their stay with us but i’d keep that bit quiet or there might be no rooms left for you!
We look forward to welcoming you to the Sis Pins very soon.

The Ingredients of a Perfect beach Holiday
There are many types of holiday out there; adventure, relaxing, cycling, walking etc, the list is endless! However, what most people crave is a beautiful beach holiday, and it isn’t hard to see why. With relaxing gentle waves, gorgeous sunshine, and golden sands, Majorca is the perfect destination for a beach holiday.
So now that you’ve decided on your destination, what do you need to make your beach holiday perfect?
The Sea Front Hotel
If you’re a beach lover, then a hotel located right on the sea front is the integral ingredient to your holiday. Nobody wants to walk very far to get to the beach, especially during the summer time. Hotel Sis Pins is situated a tiny 20 yards from the beach, so our hotel is the perfect place to stay if you’re after a fantastic beach holiday!
The Holiday Wardrobe
For a holiday spent on the beach, make sure that you have the perfect holiday wardrobe full of fashionable swimsuits, shorts, t-shirts, and cover ups. Flip flops and sandals are a must-have if you’re planning on visiting the beach everyday!
Fun in the Sun
If you’re travelling with kids, or if you just fancy a bit of fun in the sun, make sure that you have a bucket and spade! Making sandcastles is so much fun. If you prefer to be in the sea rather than on land, get yourself an inflatable lilo; there are many available from the local shops in Pollensa, and they are available in a range of unique shapes and sizes!
When you get to your destination, locate the best bar in the area so that you can stock up on fresh beverages that will keep you cool, hydrated and in the holiday mood. You must have a cocktail whilst away, and if you don’t drink treat yourself to a mocktail – all of the fun minus the hangover! As one of the best hotels in Pollensa, we serve fine food and drink so that you can remain comfortable throughout your beach holiday. We are famous for our excellent cappuccino!
So if you’re after a holiday in the sun, choose a beach holiday and make sure that you have all the ingredients above to make it extra special!

Majorca: A Paradise for Cyclists
Bar the stunning scenery, open roads and beautiful weather – Majorca has plenty to offer all types of holiday makers alike; including the novice and professional cycling enthusiasts amongst us. Whether coming to the picturesque island for a relaxing holiday or specifically to enjoy the quiet cycling routes; there is sure to be lots to see, do and experience.
Majorca has become a well-respected and renowned place for cyclists, with its roads being described as a “scalextric set for cyclists” by Bradley Wiggins, winner of 2012 Tour de France. So, if it’s good enough for the pros eh?
Here at Hotel Sis Pins, we believe Majorca to be one of the most idyllic and exciting islands available offering something for everyone, and aim to make every Majorcan experience tailored to suit you when staying in one of the most luxurious and traditional Puerto Pollensa Hotels. Here are just a few great reasons why Majorca offers the perfect destination for cycling.
For a relatively small island, Majorca offers a complete diversity in the countryside it offers, including pan-flat plain, mountain ranges and rolling low hills to create a perfect haven for cycling, walking and adventurous sports. Whatever suits your cycling style; there are numerous routes for all and the island offers enough variety to change route daily and still enjoy new views and adventures. As Majorca is a tourist island, all the most popular areas are on the coast, meaning the cycling routes are unspoilt, situated in blissful rural surroundings. Each route offers tradition, Majorcan culture and the ideal scenery for any level of cyclist.
Many countries offer the same weather and countryside as Majorca, however very little have the roads to match. Majorca offers a criss-cross of great roads and various countryside textures to provide cyclists with a wide variety of cycling experience. As well as the winding, rolling countryside, Majorca offers sweeping plans and perfectly proportioned Alpine-style mountain ranges. Local governments value the contribution of visiting cyclists to the economy, so have invested in keeping roads well-repaired and surfaced. Mallorca allows cyclists to stop worrying about traffic and junctions and just enjoy the ride of the outstretched roadways.
Majorcan weather is probably perfect sunshine for 300 out of 365 days, making it an ideal climate destination for cycling enthusiasts. The winter also provides perfect training conditions, and Majorca tends to become home to the professionals who come to practice in harsher cycling conditions during the colder months. In January, although you probably won’t be sunbathing in Majorca- if cycling, you can cruise the open roads with little fear of hitting any risky conditions or icy roads.
Is Majorca a cycling paradise because the pros choose to train here? Or do the pros come because Majorca is the perfect cycling destination? Whatever the answer, it really is the ideal setting for any cycling getaway or day out. Majorca continues to provide good weather, quiet roads and a huge range of cycling options to all visitors. If you fancy getting amongst it all, January and February are the ideal times to take to the roads and often get overtaken by a group of training pro riders, and by March their racing season is well underway! In February, you can also watch the pros race during the four days of the Trofeo Mallorca, which last year saw Wiggins, Rodriguez, Pozzato and Rui Costa take to the roads.
Here at Hotel Sis Pins, we truly believe that cycling is at the heart of Majorcan culture, and as one of the most beautiful and unique hotels in Puerto Pollensa are perfectly situated in close proximity to all the cycling routes. Whether you are a keen cyclist or you simply want to bike around the island, Hotel Sis Pins is located in the centre of the main cycling area, and is set near many long flat roads, mountain climbs, secondary roads and rolling hills.
Whatever route you enjoy, visiting local villages is easy as they are accessible within both long and short distances depending on your cycling ability, so cycling is the ideal form of transport for getting around the beautiful island. If you are interested in finding out more about the fantastic cycling options Majorca has to offer, please feel free to get in contact with our friendly team on 0034 971 867 050!
